the first historical documents mentioning the Cinque Terre
Accessible by train, with a magnificent view of the sea, the journey will never be as pleasant. Its narrow roads in the villages make it difficult to reach by car. But after all, what would a stay in Italy be without a Vespa ride?
Swimming in the fishermen's coves will be refreshing and with a view of the beautiful villages from the sea. The water is turquoise and home to many fish. Above the villages, on the mountainside, hundreds of vineyards are sunbathing. There are many activities to do in the Cinque Terre, walks and hikes on the paths, in which you will need a good pair of shoes, as the villages are all on hills or stairs. But also a tasting of local wine. Indeed the vineyards, located just behind the village, take the sun in a perfect setting for them, in the hills. Admire the sunset or go window shopping... But in the end, what could be better than admiring the landscape while eating a good local pizza?
The Cinque Terre, or should I say "Cinque Teare", has recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They will make you fall in love with the real Italy, as I did while traveling with my sisters. I have a nostalgic memory of it. And Disney also spotted the places... The release of the cartoon "Luca", in which the main character is from this Italian paradise, perfectly illustrates these villages, specifically the one in Vernazza. It seems to be a wonderful representation of the beautiful region of Liguria.
